Anytime you see Jack Sweeney, persuade a batsman to cover his stumps which seems the perfect defensive delivery and then you hear a cry-of tears, you know that Josh Sawyer has just got ouit and walked round the field in a stress! :L

He was one of the best spin bowlers in the country, thats why he was in the team. Not that England actually had any good spinners though. I mean who you going to choose instead. Tubby Croft? an old Tuffers with no batting ability? Giles got in because he was the only option, could hold a bat without dropping it too often and was a decent fielder.
Mind you they could have picked Swann when he was younger from like 2000, i know i have the benefit of hindsight now but i always reckoned he was gd

Ashley Giles ‘King of Spin’.

He was in the side because he was a solid bowler. He was never going to be spectacular, and he was never going to get a six-for, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t a valuable cog in the team works. And he could bat and was a good fielder, and by all accounts an excellent team man. Averages never tell the whole story, and flashiness isn’t always the only measure of player worth.

Ashley Giles took the wicket of every Aussie batsman from 1 to 8 in that series.
I can’t remember who it was but I remember prior to the 2005 series one Aussie ex player / pundit suggested that anyone who got is wicket taken by Ashley Giles should hang himself…

June 20th, 2010 at 11:11 am
really really funny video, lmfao lol, well credit to giles for landing it in the rough and getting to bite, turn and timber , accurate delivery. credit to the fast bowlers for creating the rough as well the curator for creating a bowler friendly pitch

England had no other option at the time while Fletcher was a keen advocate of people being able to fulfill multiple cricketing assets i.e. Fielding and Bowling, Bowling and Batting, Batting and Fielding or all three where possible. That’s why Giles got such a sustained run in the side. Averaging 40 in test matches is woeful…randomly saw him in Cheltenham though months back had my photo taken with him at this club when Warwickshire were around playing Glos.

You don’t know how to make your own material, nearly all of your videos were stolen off someone else in this website and you weren’t even bothered to make a different title for those videos, and no-one is going to watch the same video twice.
This video is meant to be humorous, funny, you know when you go hahaha, yeah, thats we humans call funny. I’m not sure what you bio-degradeable object would call it. And stop trying to bring me down with you by rating my videos one star.

he was on the side for so long because he can bat and he can field, england just didnt need a rely good spin bowler as their pace was enough
